Hello,
1. What are the general documents needed to present for a personal Interview with
the visa Officer for permanant residence?. Please be specific

2. What is the difference between a personal interview and a selection interview?

1. When you receive the invitation letter for the interview then it will state what
documents you should bring in addition to originals of all copies submitted with
the application.

2. There are 3 types of interviews and all are personal ones as you have to be
interviewed in person (not over the phone for example). The standard interview is
the selection interview - called upon when processing officer is unable to make
selection decision based solely on the information and documents provided with the
application and/or if there is anything in your case what needs to be verified,
clarified or assessed at the interview. Then there are rare and random quality
assurance interviews - just to check upon the integrity of the process. And the
third one is the security interview - when something requiring personal
questioning showed up during background/security check.
