Default Dependant child reaches age 22 -PR status?

Does anyone know what happens if a dependant child reaches age 22 whilst still awaiting PR decision.
We applied in August 2003 and our daughter is 22 in May 2004.

I have been told that if children are 22 and no longer in full time education, they have to apply them selves, you cannot include them on application.
If they are in full time education, you have to give proof thet they are, get full school reports on hours they are in uni, or college and basically prove they are dependant on you.

If time has lapsed since making application and the above apply then I am not sure either.
We were in a similar dilema, yet hope application will go through in a year so , so have plenty of time, incase similar happens to us.

My son is 22 this year and I have just been asked to supply police
clearance, completed Imm008 and other stuff for him even though I already
declared him as non-accompanying child with a declaration of not sponsoring
in the future (he isn't interested in Canada). Sadly, it doesn't look like
you will get away with not including information and supporting
documentation. This goes for the medicals too.

Ludicrous I know but there you are.

Legally in Canada an adult is someone over the age of 18 so I have no idea
why they upped the age from 19 to 22 in the recent reshuffle.
