I've recently obtained my PR VISA in El Salvador, I'm an industrial engineer with MBA
in Administration. I almost ready to fly to Canada, but I have many questions. What
city is better to live? Why? What about my carreer? Jobs opportunities?? Where can I
look for rent aparment agent? Do anyone live in more than one city listed above? Is
there any institution who help to find a job?
thanks in advance for any help.

congratulations with your PR.... i dont really have all the answers to yer
questions... but if you arrive in vancouver airport (not sure with the others)..they
have this newcomers/immigrants booth where they will help you with all the necessary
things that a newly landed immigrant need. there are also organizations in most
provinces that are set up to help new immigrants... ill try to post it up here.
as for job opportunities...you say engineering? it is very regulated here in
canada... you need to apply and get a professional engineering license to work as an
engineer. here's some link http://www.ccpe.ca/
as for the best city to live...sorry can't help you with that since I have only
lived in BC.
btw...have you received like a booklet about newcomers in canada. they attach it
along with your PR. i think that'll give you some ideas.
goodluck!

1- you have to find out where you could get a job. Toronto (TO) has the most jobs
generally; for industrial engineering, some other cities may qualify eg Calgary would
usually be second to TO, but that may be different for Indus. Eng. Your field may be
more suitable to some unexpected places eg Calgary etc.
2. cost of living is highest in Vancounver and Toronto.
All other considerations are not nearly as important.

We build our computers like we build our cities: little by little, on
top of ruins.
