Default Date to apply for skilled worker program

When the system changed pn 26th June 2010 the skilled worker quota was reduced to 20'000 per year. On what date does this reset? Ie. when is the best time to apply? Is it simply 27th June 2011? Thank you

01/07/11, but since it would appear that none of the NOCs are filled, it wouldn't hurt if you are ready to go now.

Thank you. Do you know why none of the NOC's are filled and how you know that? Cheers.

Definitely apply now if you can - what if your occupation is removed from the list of eligible occupations?

CIC will announce it when any of the quotas have been reached and it hasn't happened yet.

Hi PMM,

You mentioned that none of the NOCs are filled. Is there a source for that information we can read any related info? I'm also curious where on the CIC websire they will post when numbers fill up. I've got pretty good "Google-fu" and haven't been able to find anything so far!

My partner just took her English test and is now worried that since June 26th feels so long ago, that maybe her NOC (Chef) is full.

Thanks!

J.

They will definitely post when each NOC reaches it's quota. Then they don't have to send the applications back. Well I would send it since the IELTs result is only valid for a year , and she probably doesn't want to have to repeat it. Although it would still be valid 01/07/11 (barely) but what happens if her NOC is no longer on the list next year?

Best bet is to just put add news section of the CIC news website to your favourites (you can also do a RSS feed for it) so that you can see any announcements as soon as they come up.

Or check on here, as no doubt somebody will post the news on BE straight away.

Thanks everyone. She has absolutely no plans to wait! The minute her IELTs results come in , she's sending off her application. She was just wondering (and understandably worried) if the quota was already full.

As this is her second go around, she doesn't want to repeat anything again!!

It's the TEF, and yes, that's for French (obviously not needed unless you're claiming points for French though).
