Hi everybody
My situation is a little bit confusing. I entered Canada last January with a six-month visitor visa. Then I applied last May for an extension to stay as a visitor for another 6 months.
I am visiting Canada to take professional exams to be qualified to practice my profession as a pharmacist in Canada. After passing the first exam, I am now preparing to have a job offer to have my internship (training) with a drugstores' chain.
Currently, I am waiting for the decision regarding extending my visitor visa.
The question is: What is the most promising way to apply for a work permit? Can I apply from here, or I have to do from my country?

You cannot apply for work permit inside Canada if you are here only as visitor.

Thanks Mr. Miller for your prompt reply
What about changing my condition
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/informa...ns/visitor.asp
why does this do not apply to me?

As far as extension of stay or change of conditions go, if any are imposed.
But you cannot change status from visitor to work permit in Canada, except if you are a dependent spouse of work/study permit holder or spouse sponsored using Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada class.
If you would be here on valid study permit then yes, you could apply for extension of stay and change of conditions from student to foreign worker using the application you mentioned and submitting it to Vegreville. But not if you are here only as visitor. And you stated cleasrly that you are here as visitor.
