Question confused about the financial statement!

Hi

I knew about the regulation states the sponsor is exempt from meeting the income requirements when sponsoring a spouse, conjugal partner or common-law partner, but must provide a financial statement.

Now I have read about these threads about the financial statement already.

like

[Mr. Andrew Miller wrote on "2003-04-09":
"Minimum income requirement is waived when sponsoring a spouse, but
sponsor must still demonstrate having enough income to support himself
and sponsored
spouse. Someone who just landed and has no job will most likely not be
approved as a sponsor. But even if by some luck sponsor is approved it
doesn't mean that spouse will get visa as processing officer has the
last word and may request proof of financial resources again."]

I have read other question about financial statement ,

someone posted his question,

"I have a question about landing.

It is required to show the CAN$12000 financial statement for a couple at

the time of landing. I have been living in Canada for almost 3 years as

a graduate student with full financial aid from the university. But my account
does not have CAN$12000 saving right now. I am wondering if I can just show the
officer my monthly payment stubs to demonstrate that we have steady income in
Canada. Is it enough?

Also, any other issues I have to take care at the time of landing?

Thanks

Fuchun"

I am wondering,

Must we get the financial requirement $12000 for us now then can apply?

How much money is required for the financial statement?

Sorry to ask too much.

Thanks for your patience and advice.

Sorry, but you lost me here...

First please tell me - are you (1) a sponsor sponsoring a spouse or (2) an applicant in Skilled Workers class?

Financial requirements for (1) and (2) have absolutely nothing in common and you can't try to draw any conclusions by comparing or confusing those two.

Meeting minimum income requirement is waived when sponsoring a spouse, common-law or conjugal partner. But you can't sponsor if you are collecting any form of social assistance, are a non-discharged bankrupt, are behind payments of allimony or child support or are in jail or on probation. And you need to submit all financial evidence as required anyway.

Andrew
Let's assume that I have enough money and I can prove it with statements(say 3 or 5 times what 1 person is requiered). Can this help or make easier the desicion to issue a PR?

I had read the other thread saying

visa officers must assess whether the applicant is able and willing to support himself/herself when requiring a financial statement of 12,000 dollars at the time of landing

Do I need to give the proof of the bank statement I have 12,000 ?

The other statement applies to Skilled Workers class, not to spousal sponsorships.

And your tax assessment as well as Option C printout from Revenue Canada. Read the instruction carefully and submit all required financial documents.
