Confirmation of Application?
#1
Hi.
We've applied via the Federal Skilled Worker route through the Vienna, Austria Visa Office and our timeline so far is:
19 Aug 08 : Simplified Application Sent
15 Sep 08 : Confirmation of Application Received
23 Jan 09 : Initial Acceptance and Request for Full Application
04 Apr 09 : Full Application Sent & Tracked
Should we get confirmation via post or e-mail that they have received our full application documents? Just not sure whether to query with the office that they have our application and are processing it, as I know they are not keen on general application enquiries.
Thanks.

You should get an AOR (Acknowledgement of Receipt) 2-3 months after applying... I think Vienna is quite fast so you might get it soon. The AOR will also contain your B# file number which you can use to check your status on the CIC website (eCas).

We got our AOR with B# on the 15 Sep 08, but this was only for the initial simplified application. Should we get something back confirming that they have received our full application as well?
Our online application status is 'In Process' and states 'We received your application for permanent residence on August 22, 2008'
Thanks again.

They usually don't send anything. Maybe Vienna is different.
