Common Law Sponsorship
At the end of this month I will have been living with my Canadian girlfriend for a year and we will be putting in our common-law application. We have been together for about a year and a half and have lots of evidence to prove that our relationship is genuine. We are planning on getting married sometime in 2017, but due to financial reasons (I won't be able to work in Canada after May as my WP expires, I will apply to remain in Canada on a visitor visa until PR has gone through) I haven't yet bought her ring and officially gotten engaged. We don't want to rush anything just so that we can get engaged before our application goes in.
My only concern is that in October or November 2015 I was refused a PNP application for PR due to the job titles of my profession not matching each other during my skilled work experience in Canada. Is this likely to have a negative effect on our application?
