Hi, I am an Indian citizen and want to apply for Canadian permanent reidence. Can any
one suggest me whether to apply from New Delhi or Colombo. I am told that processing
in Colombo is as fast as Buffalo. Is there any truth to that? If I apply from
Colombo, can I still have my medical done in India?
Thanks, Pankaj

Based on 2000 numbers 80% of skilled worker applications were processed in 37 months
at both New Delhi and Colombo, but if you apply at Colombo since you are outside
their area of responsibility you will NOT get an interview waiver and your
application will take longer than the norm. Suggest that you apply at Delhi.
You can have your medical at any DMP in the world

But some immigration consultants prefer Colombo with reasons saying that Colombo has
additional staff now and the processing time is faster..is it true????
