citizenship and PRCard application questions.
Hi,
Thanks for those who takes time on reading this post. Thanks more for
replying it. 8-)
I am eligible for applying for citizenship this month. And at the same
time, I am also eligible for PRCard. Could anyone answer me the
following questions?
1. Do I need to apply them both? Which one of them will take longer?
If PRCard takes longer, then I will just give it up. I "guess" I am
all right with my landing paper without PRCard, as long as I don't
leave Canada.
2. I am in Kitchener, Ontario area and my family is in London, Ontario
area. Which place should we submit our applications? Will it take
different time to process for different areas? Anyone has some rough
estimate on how long it is for the above areas?
3. Can I submit my application to other places, if there takes shorter
time?
4. I have a chunk of time absent from canada and some other frequent
absences. I plan to report them since I have excluded them when I
counted my days of residence. But I just could not remember the exact
dates and days I was absence. They were about 2 or 3 years ago. Will
that be all right if I just give some approximations, say about 30
days for sometime of 27 or 29 days?
5. I don't have any evidence of those absence. I have thrown away my
air tickets and bus tickets. Will these be required when I fill out
the applications?
thanks a lot for your advices!

See above for times, Your choice as to area, but think where you want to
take the test and the oath.

No. Most of the processing is done in Sydney NS, the test is held in the
area where you live.

If you don't *Need* the PR card, you may as well save yourself $50 and
not bother applying for it.

Submit it (Citizenship) where you live.
> Will it take different time to process for different areas?
Maybe, but normally there's not a lot of difference.
> Anyone has some rough estimate on how long it is for the above areas?
Average 8-123 months.

This could present inconveniences for you. Not recommended.
