Default Citizenship language.

Hi I’ve looked in the forum but couldn’t find a definite answer to my question. For citizenship the language proof says certificate of post secondary education I have my City and Guilds certificates from a business school does anyone know if this is enough?
Before I decide I need to do the language test which is booked up until end of March at the moment. Thanks

I’m not sure I’m understanding the question. Was it not post-security then, did you do it as part of secondary school? If so, you’d need IELTS.

If it was post-secondary then it will count.

I was unsure what I could send for language evidence too. The application seemed to suggest that secondary school education evidence is acceptable? So I have sent my my GCSE Math's certificate and also my Sixth Form GNVQ certificate and an access to higher education certificate I did at a local college. All from the late 90's.
Not sure if any will be accepted but I included them all anyway. I just got my AOR today so I guess I will find out soon enough!

Thanks.

We've sent in pretty similar evidence it seems.
I submitted my application online on Feb 12th. Received AOR on Feb 22nd. I was invited to sign up and follow progress on the tracker on Feb 29th.

As of yet I've heard nothing regarding the documents I sent in.

Looks like yours were accepted then. I just got an email saying mine are not, so very frustrated with that, booked my CELPIP test for this Thursday.

Ah bummer, when did you submit your application? I'm sure there's time to have mine refused yet too!

We submitted ours on Saturday got it back yesterday. I’m pretty sure if you have received your AOR you’re good to go with everything.

FWIW in the days of paper applications, it would take up to 3 months for IRCC to open the envelope and send the application back if language proof didn't meet requirements. It's real progress that it only takes a matter of days now.

If they were both done at sixth form then that’s not post secondary. Did you also provide proof of the 1 year course at the teaching school?

Yes I did it even says English on it. But don’t want to hold up our application querying it so managed to book a test for tomorrow luckily.
