Default Citizenship Application- Kids' education records

I'm putting the finishing touches to our citizenship applications (finally - should have done this AGES ago). The checklist asks for education records for yourself (fine) and for any kids under 18. Now I've already attached the kids' education records to "my" application. I'm now compiling my wife's application. Do I need to copy everything AGIAN for the kids' education records and attach it to hers as well? Or does one set of education history for the kids suffice attached to my application?

Loads of people must have faced this question. Can anyone help?
Thanks.....

Yes, we all have faced the same question.

Given that what we wanted was to lower as much as we could the probability of receiving the RQ or having the application returned, we included EVERYTHING they asked for, for each application. This meant we included copies of school records 3 times, but that way each application was complete by itself. I don't know if they review them as family or separately...?

It could just be my OCD talking, who knows.

OCD is sometimes a good thing. An ex-boss of mine once told me that you should "use a nuclear bomb to kill a fly" when dealing with bureaucracy,

Mine has passed initial screening (as in all docs present).

I included all 4 of us in 1 pack but separated the applications for each person and placed in plastic sleeves.

That way no need to duplicate anything.

We wondered about this one too. We just included a copy with my application and one with my son's - not with my husband's - all went off in the same envelope, but as a family application.

Thanks guys. This is what we're doing. One family application so no unnecessary duplication.

Hi - my timeline as follows:

Received on Sept 11 2014
Started Processing on Nov 17 2014

I think the norm is that you won't hear anything for about 3 months.

I wonder if you hear earlier if you don't have all the relevant docs?

I know some one that submitted pre New year but it arrived at Cic on 2nd jan.. They returned it as it needed the new fees!

Except that there's no such thing as a "family application". Spouses always apply independently, and children are attached to the application of one parent or the other.

CIC do normally group applications from same family members for administrative convenience, but this is not always a good thing. If by some chance, one spouse has a more marginal case for citizenship than the other (significant time outside Canada, for example), it may be better to apply separately.

Sorry for the wrong nomenclature - I meant family application as in they were all in the same envelope and covered by one payment. The point I was making was that my son's application was 'attached' to mine in particular, so we attached his education records to my application too but not to my husband's - which was the point of the initial query.

I attached a full copy of the childrens school reports to both my application and mrs jimfs application.

One thing I didn't pick up on initially was that the UK passport copies have to be valid for the preceeding 4 years and since the childrens had been renewed in that time added a copy of the expired passports.

Its curious that in addition to passport and PR card they require another two foms of ID one with a photo. We used the Alberta Health Card and got either Alberta ID cards or Drining Licences for the children to avoid having to use the passport or PR card twice in the application package.
