I sent an email to the London embassy regarding my application using the email web form found on this page:

After I hit the send button a screen appeared saying that my email had been sent. However I never recieved an automatic email reply saying that they had received my email and they would reply within 28 days etc.

I had a felling you usually get one of these automatic emails. Does anyone know if i should have?

hi, sorry to put a downer on this thread but a lot of people on here have emailed CIC without ever getting a reply including myself on 2 occassions.

We emailed a while ago after we sent some info by recorded delivery and the PO claimed it never arrived. They actually email back within 24 hours to say they had received it!

It may be that they are very fussy about what questions they answer? Not sure.

If the information is on their website, or cic's web site, they usually won't reply.

And I am sure that is the reason why so many do not get replies and get frustrated. Both times I emailed I had a reply within 48 hours - once by email, the second time by my case officer on the phone.
