Hi, This is with regargs to my brothers application in the independant category for
permanent residence in Canada. He is legally divorced from his wife and has cutody of
his son, but his wife has visitation rights. Will this cause his application for PR
status to be rejected. my brother is in Canada now with his son and new family (his
ex-wife gave permission for temporary leave od their son to Canada)

Your brother's ex-wife must sign a notarized consent allowing son to be removed
permanently from the jurisdiction of the home country and to make Canada as his place
of permanent residence.
