Child care subsidy
Hello,
Does anyone have any experience applying for the Child care subsidy. I've
heard that I can get some assistance if you have no money on my bank
account, me and my spouse are working or studying.
So it looks like new immigrants are not eligible, because as a new immigrant
I'm supposed to have a certain amount of money on the bank account.
One more question. I know that the welfare could create a very bad record in
case I want to sponsor my perents. Is it the same with the Child care
subsidy?
Thanks

Re: Child care subsidy
welfare is only negative in the case of sponsoring if you are claiming
welfare when you apply as you will not qualify as a sponsor. Wether you
claimed it in the past doesnt matter as long as you have the income to meet
the LICO when you apply.

Re: Child care subsidy
Hi:
Child Care Subsidizes are an entitlement to residents of a particular
province. It will not affect a future application to sponsor your parent's.
Yours truly,
