hi, applied for common law via missasauga, then via london, paid my fees online, can i use that receipt number to check status of application because it doesnt give that option for that, only for using a receipt used to pay via a bank.

I think you are looking for the receipt number they (the CIC) would have sent you starting with the letter 'R', mine came to me in an email (as a PDF) right after I paid my fees online.

hey, yeah i have that number off the receipt. but when i go to check online it only gives you option to search with bankers draft form imm ???? have been using the number to check under this option but was worried it wasnt working, been 3 weeks now and nothing started

then the rest of your info. not sure if this is the same spot your looking at. never seen anything about a bankers draft. hope you can figure it out. its a frustrating wait.

thats it sorry, the imm5401 option, but not for if you paid fees online, but if it worked for you then should for me i guess. also, im the applicant my partner is the sponsor, i paid the fees so whos name do i search, mine or hers ?

I use my name and details (Im the sponsor). supposedly it should also work to use the applicants name and details after its been sent to London, but it never has for us. good luck! let me know if it works

It is the IMM, then your receipt number (begins with R) then sponsors details. You will only get anything showing on Ecas once it has been processed by them which takes about 5 weeks, when it will say "decision made".

I have always used sponsors info, even since it has been moved to london - probably now it is actually showing as "in process" with them, I should be able to check with my name......haven't done so yet though.

Edit : I have just checked with my details and no record comes up - only comes up when I use IMM receipt number or client ID, and sponsors details.
