changing name = citizenship difficulties?
Hi,
My boyfriend and I are about to get married, and we are creating a new
surname that each of us will both take upon marriage instead of our
current awful surnames. We have been resident in Canada for only 2
years though, and I am afraid that if we change our surname we will
have troubles when applying for citizenship, as our names on our
immigration papers and passports will differ from our new surname.
Does anyone know if it's possible to change our surname with no
problems in this regard?

You will naturally change your name legally, meeting all the provincial
requirements, correct? Therefore there won't be any problems.
