Default Changing jobs on a lmo

Hi was just wondering if anyone has changed jobs on a lmo? We hubby came here on a Lmo in Jan as a heavy duty mechanic and he is thinking of a total job change to driving. He is doing his class 1 & air Brakes. He had his class 1 on his uk licence but had to hand that in. Has anyone changed jobs or know anyone who has?

1. Well he would have to find an new employer, who is will to get an approved LMO and then he would have to apply for a new work permit, before he could start work. I assume he has at least 2 years previous experience of long haul trucking, if not he might it difficult to find an employer.
2. His occupation would drop from skilled to semi-skilled and depending on the province, you would not be entitled to a spousal work permit for up to 6 months. If it is your intention to remain permanently in Canada, you should check the province you are in to see if there is a PNP program for LD truckers.
