Default change of address in Canada

Hi,

We landed in the first week of February and everything was great at the border and all the officers were very friendly
The officer asked if we have an address in Canada so we gave him our friend's address because we will be staying with her while searching for an apartment and the officer said that we should receive our permanent resident cards within 6 weeks.

Now we just rented an apartment and I just checked the application status and it shows our friend's address for current address (because that is the one that we gave at the border) but underneath that it says change address. I clicked on change address to put our apartment's address instead but it says you can do that if you are applying for a PR card but between parentheses it says (replacement or renewal) no first time applicants. I was a little bit confused and hesitant to change the address. We really want to receive our PR cards here. What do you think? Should I just go ahead and change it or keep our friend's address? would the change of address affect by any means the process of getting out PR cards?

Thank you soooo much!!!

1. Change the address if you want.
2. I really wish the Border officers would occasionally check the processing times. Initial PR card is 64 days (9 weeks) plus mailing time.
