Hi,
My occupation is under NOC 'A' and my IELTS score is 6.5,6.5,6.5 and 5.5 -overall 6.5. The CEC circulation says CLB 28 is required for NOC 'A'. Don't know how to convert my score to CLB equivalent as the conversion chart is based on band, not individual score which is IELTS 5-6.9 is 6-7 CLB equivalent.

We need to wait for Immigration Manual update to see what conversion into IELTS/TEF officers should use.

The current conversion in federal SW class manual (IELTS 5-6.9 = CLB 6-7) is not very precise.

yeah I am also wondering about this myself.

I am an industrial engineer and my ielts scores are 7.5,7.5,7.0, and 6.5 on writing,(got a stupid topic) so can I claim Benchmark 7?

When will this update be released? I mean it has to be before sep 17, right? I want to be the first ones to apply for this since I delayed my regular fw skill worker application for this CEC stuff. (I thought it was gonna happen in the first half of 2008)

6.0 ielts is equal to 7 CLB ..whats about 6.5 IELTS equivalent ?

This halfbands have put me into dilemma.
if 6.5,6.5,6.5,5.5 is not sufficient for NOC 'A' then i have to appear IELTS again.

IELTS 6.5 is not 7.0, thus falls into CLB 7 - simple. What's the dilemma?

You need to retake the test.
