We need to get something notarised by a Canadian lawyer or notary but are hoping to do it here in the UK. Does anybody know if there are any Canadian registered lawyers working in the London area?

you mean a Candian immigration lawyer originally from Canada?

Does it have to be a Canadian Lawyer - could an English one not do it for you ?

If you are notarising documents for your application e.g. letter / statements regarding spousal relationship etc etc then all you need is a notary public. Loads around in most solicitors offices and shouldnt charge you a fortune. Do a google search for 'notaries' or 'notary public'. You dont need a Canadian lawyer or notary for this an English one will do!

Strange request I know but apparently the document needs to be notarised within Canada or by a practicing Canadian lawyer who happens to be in the UK.

(Sort of like days spent with a Canadian spouse outside Canada count towards Canadian residency I guess).
