Default Canadian Immigration and H-1B status

Hi,

At present I am on H-1B. And I applied for Canadian Immigration independent visa. I
appeared for the interview recently.

After answering a number of questions in the interview (for around 20 minutes) I was
told that based on the information given to them, they are accepting my application
for immigrant visa.

And the interviewer advised me to deposit $635 for ROLF. She also told me that I can
expect the papers within 4 weeks

Now some poeple have suggested that I should get the immigrant visa stamped soon
after receiving the papers. Though I have 11 months (12 months from the date of
medical) to go to Canada. But after stamping of immigrant visa, I can come back to US
on H-1B and continue my job till I move to Canada.

Can anyone suggest something?

Thanks

Rajesh

Hi Rajesh

The officer told you to expect the landing papers in 4 weeks from the interview, did you already go for your medicals.

Thanks
