Canadian family question
Hi there!
Me and my partner are in the process of putting together our application for skilled class worker but I have a question regarding family in Canada.
The form asks if you have any Family that are Canadian citizens living in Canada. Now, my Grandfather is Canadian but lives here in the UK (he was posted over here during the war and married my Nan). Therefore I have Great Aunts and Uncles living in Canada. My Mum spent 4 years in Canada as a child and both of my uncles are dual Canadian/British citizens but living in the UK.
Will this count for anything in our application?
Any help greatly appreciated!
Thanks, JJ

Hi
Nope, no points for relatives in Canada.

Re: Canadian family question
It's a pity your Mum has not claimed Canadian Citizenship - you could have claimed it via her.
My Dad was Canadian, married my Mum over here after the war, spent several years in Canada before settling in England. I claimed Canadian Citizenship although I was born in England, and so did my 3 children. A lot easier than the SW route!
Any chance you can do the same?
Good luck
Joanne
