The only reason we don't just let themselves kill each other off is because, one, we
don't know who the gang members are when they arrive at the hospital (there could be
innocent bystanders), and two, they do their shoot-outs at the playgrounds when kids
are playing, so kids are put in danger. We should put them in a bulletproof arena and
let them go at it.

Unless it has been changed recently, I thought Glocks were made of ceramic and stuff
that couldn't be detected by a metal detector. That's why I'm like "What a way to
sneak a gun around".

Glocks are full of metal -- barrel, magazine, the ammunition itself, other parts.
Only the frame is polymer.

The undetectable Glock is a myth that was propagated by ignorant or irresponsible
reporting.

Most anti-gun fascists are woefully misinformed about firearms.

Rupert Murdoch only recently became a US citizen. But I agree with your general
point. Restrictions should be lifted on most everything.

"Recently" was in 1992, with help from members of Congress having an interest in his
FOX stations for their economies.

And yeah, I'd love to see Izzy Asper hook up with Tribune and WB or the A
Channel folks with UPN. Those netlets wouldn't be struggling if they could get
non-US partners.

That's true,or better yet take all the worthless elements of society like seriously
violent criminals (rapists, murderers, molesters, etc) put them on a cargo plane and
drop them off on a remote isolated island and let them fend for themselves. It would
be cheaper than keeping them in jail. Ok, you're right. If you have been watching A&E
lately, there are problems with the American legal system, especially when innocent
people can end up on Death Row,but fortunately DNA evidence can clear their name.
Unfortunately, once is once too many and this happens way too many times. Anyone can
be convicted of a crime in the US justice system, but chances are if you're
wealthy, famous and powerful, your chances of getting convicted of anything are
negligible.

Well I think the US economy is more volatile than some other countries. For
example, the US stock market can be in a severe upswing or downswing depending on the
consumer buying patterns.

    >
    >

It may not cause the downfall, but it could cause problems for the latter
generations, especially since the USA is an aging nation. You would be foolish not to
consider this a possible drain on the US economy when Boomers leave the workplace for
retirement. It's a double whammy. US will be losing taxpayer dollars from this
segment of the population, since the vast majority will be living on a reduced income
when they retire. Another problem is paying for the retirement itself. The Gen X'ers
and other succeeding generations will be expected to foot the bill, since they will be
among the working population.

I'm not talking just about the illegal immigrants. I'm talking about the Latin
Americans who are in the USA as legitimate American residents or citizens. Well I'm
betting sometime in the next 50-75 years, Caucasians will not comprise the majority
in the USA. There may be no actual racial majority in the USA by then. I expect
Latins to comprise the biggest ethnic group by then, followed by the African Americans
and Caucasians.
