can you change your TWP to an Open Spousal Work Permit??
Just sorting out our trip round the flag pole to get our visas and working out our options.
I have an LMO for my job but was approved under the skill level C so my fiancee cannot get an open permit under my LMO.
He is is applying for his LMO (skill level A) today and fingers crossed that will be approved
, but it may not come through in time for when our current visa expires, so the plan would be for us both too go down to the POE and get my TWP activated and for my fiancee to get a visitors visa.
So then if/when his LMO comes through as I will be able to get an open work permit under his LMO (which would be helpful if i need/want to change jobs) can I go to the POE and change my TWP to an open one? are there any other benefits of having an open permit?

We have read that if you are not going to use the LMO, you must inform CIC that you no longer need it.
What should we do regarding using it temporarily until my LMO comes through?
We had bad lawyer advice, the initial LMO came back skill level C when we were told it would be a B. Now our time on current visa's is running out rapidly.
Just want to make sure we do everything properly and by the book.
