Can I sponsor family soon after getting the PR?
Hey!
I received my PR last week. I want to bring my family here in Canada. I read about sponsorship here Avoiding A Refusal In A Spousal Sponsorship Application | Matthew Jeffery. I want to know if there will be any issues if apply for so early ? The blog says "The sponsor must agree to support spouses, common-law partners or conjugal partners for at least 3 years after they arrive in Canada."
Will I have to show any bank balance for sponsoring? or Would the income certificate do fine?

I want to sponsor my mom and dad. At first, I did not have plans of bringing them here to Canada. My mom wants to stay with me. So I thought of getting them here. Thanks for sharing the website. I will go through the details.

How long have you actually been in Canada? To sponsor a parent, you must show that you have at least 3 year income over the LICO from Canadian sources, so if you've only just moved there you won't be able to apply for a good while yet.

I have been here for the last 5 years @christmasoompa. I am moving ahead with my application. I just hope I won't have much issues.

I'm also quite interested in the Supervisa for my parents. As I've not landed yet, I know I won't be able to sponsor them for some time, since I don't have funds from a Canadian source yet. I was wondering for the Super Visa, do I need to show I have proof of funds from Canadian sources, or can I show proof of funds I have already at home? I was also wondering if they have diabetes/high blood pressure and on medication, would this affect their medicals/decision made by IRCC?
