I've worked for my employers for 3 years. First on a BUNAC then arranged employment. I haven't applied for PR because i had some legal problems.
My employers don't pay me what they stated on the LMO and of late have also been laying me off for 1 or two weeks at a time. I've had enough of this and would like to quit my job and get a PR application sent in if possible. Can i apply for PR without a job?

I'm in ontario. I have lived with my canadian girlfriend continuously for the last 2 years. She has worked for BMO for almost ten years and is a financial services manager....

Your Canadian partner can sponsor you for PR as long as you have proof of living together for 2 years. No job needed for that as far as I am aware.

I'm sure someone wiser than me will confirm this

Yep, from what you've said the only way for you to apply for PR without using arranged employment is for your Canadian gf to sponsor you for PR, but that'll be quicker and easier anyway so probably your best route.

It's still spousal sponsorship, even if common-law - they're just then common-law spouses instead in CIC's eyes.
