I made enquiry through MP office and received forward email reply which including Immigration officer's detailed contact information like phone number, personal email address etc. My question is may I contact the officer directly?either by phone call or by email? I appreciate any helpful responds.

Our application was sent to Buffalo in Aug 2006 and we have file number dated on Aug 22,2006, we also received letter dated 11 May 2007 from Buffalo informing us the file transfer to Seattle; after several enquiries and finally by the enquiry made by MP, on Sep 11,2007 the Seattle officer send us a letter requesting updated form and 2006/2007 Tax Return and T4 as well as Employer reference letter. We provided these documents on Sep 18 2007 and still waiting for selection decision( I noticed the CAIPS showing Paper Screen is on Sep 7 and mark 1, all other blank)

The dilemma is my work permit will expire on Dec 31,2007, even though my boss is willing to apply LMO for me, but HRSDC Vancouver will take FIVE months to process the application, then I can apply work permit through CIC. Overall it may take about half a year even if I apply concurrent work permit. Should I wait for the finalization of my PR application or apply the LMO work permit right now? If luckily I can get the PR done within 6 months, I will wait for PR without renewing WP. Is there anyone know how long it will take for Seattle office to complete the application.

Apply for an extension of your WP and continue working while they process it through Vegreville.
