Default can I apply for PR from UK ....

Hi,

I'm a mature asian student who just finished my BSc. I've got a few questions which I need expert advise.

1. I'm an Asian Student graduated from a UK university and can I apply for Permanant Resident from outside my country (from UK) ??

2. I've got all my family in Canada and is it wise to apply under family sponsorship class or should I apply under skilled Catagory ??

3. Do I have to do IELTS before I apply ???

and finally any idea of the processing time for an application if applied from UK.

I would really appreciate if you could answer these for me pls.

Thanks in advance.
Cheers

1. Were you admitted to the UK for at least 1 year? If so you can apply to London.
2. Are you going to be able to remain in the UK for 2 years or so for the processing of the application? If not apply to the office that services your home country.
3. Assuming you are over 22 you can't be sponsored by your family although you will receive an additional 5 points if these realtives are close enough.
4. I think that you will require IELTS unless you grew up in an English speaking family, all your education was in English and that you use English in your day to day work.
