Can FBI result validity be extended too?

Can FBI result validity be extended too?
I heard from this forum that CIC Buffalo can extend the validity of the medicals past the 12 months at thier descretion. Do they do the same for the FBI checks also?
I think the validitity is 6 months for the FBI check.

I know CIC accepts at least 12 months old but London also at the end of the process asked for individual states clearances, which was not too bad as they can be done online the same day as they were name searches only.

When you talked about 12 months are you takled about CIC Buffalo?

also, it depends on the visa officer assessing ur case.
