hi
If my company has clients in the us and canada and wants me to spend a bit of time
visiting them, i don't have to get a work visa if i am coming from the uk to canada or do
i ? is there a maximum time that i can stay in canada with our clients? many of them are
uk companies that have offices in the us and canada and vice versa so i guess it would
just be treated as a business trip. I would be going to and fro from canada to the uk
about three times a month
thanks

The nature of your visits would determine the visa requirements. If you are selling to
these companies, but no sales are to be made to the general public, then you my be
eligible for admission for a period of up to 90 days without an employment authorization.

Hi:
You may want to apply for temporary entry of a business person pursuant to GATS without
the need for a job validation. Depending on what the duties of the person setting up the
office in Canada are going to be, the applicant may want to consider applying as a
Business Visitor, Intra-company Transferee or Professional.
You may want to check out CIC's manual on GATS at
http://www.cic.gc.ca/manuals-guides/...FW-e/FWE10.pdf
