Default British passport or PR card at immigration?

Quick question - I'm just trying to gauge peoples thoughts on when getting off the flight at Toronto.

I'm returning after landing last year, but will only be here a week again until I move permanently in Jan. I'm showing a good to follow list (this was answered in another post) but I forgot to ask if I should be doing this via my British passport at immigration, or show my PR card and then present the goods to follow list - I understand there are two separate queues in Toronto now for Canadian residents and 'all others'.... or maybe i'm overthinking things.

Also, did anyone put in the time out of Canada for returning residents on the customs form, or did you enter as a 'visitor' on the customs form, even though you had a PR card?

I think i've confused the sh!t out myself

Thanks in advance for looking at this.

MS.

You are a Canadian Permanent Resident, but you haven't actually taken up residency yet, so I wouldn't go into the "Returning Residents" line. Go through the "visitor" line (because you technically are visiting) and just explain when you get ot the desk. (As was said in the other post, you *shouldn't* be asked for GTF, but good to have it just in case.) You can say you are a PR, but have not yet permanently landed, they'll probably ask for your card, so just have it all at the ready.
