My fiance is from England and currently on a BUNAC working visa that ends in Feb. He is applying for his PR under Skilled Worker. He will not have his PR before his BUNAC visa runs out. He has an amazing job and does not want to leave it or me. Is there anyway to get a working visa to bridge the gap, and from where? Side note: We are not common-law, and I am Canadian. Ideas and help?
Thanks so much!!

Is the job he's applying under for PR as a Skilled Worker the same as he is working as now?
He needs to get his employer to apply for a Labour Market Opinion (LMO) after fulfilling the advertising requirements.
You may wish to check to make sure his salary is the going rate for his skilled profession.
With a Positive LMO in hand, do a trip round the flagpole (enter and exit the USA) and get a Temporary Work Permit so he can continue to work in Canada for his employer

Move up the wedding date? You could always go to city hall, officially get married, and have the big celebration later. That way you can apply to sponsor him as your spouse. If you do it asap and apply the outland route, you should be finished and he can land as soon as it's approved all before his Bunac runs out.

The job is not on the LMO that he working right now. He is company in on the PR as a cabinet maker(which he is) but his job is not a cabinet maker.
How long does the LMO take to get once the company has fulfilled the advertising requirments?
As well, if we get married on paper will he have to re-do his paper work as he is down on his PR as single?
Thanks for all your help!

You can then use this site to make sure he is being paid a suitable salary and see how in demand his occupation is.
There is more information on how LMOs are assessed here: http://www.rhdcc-hrsdc.gc.ca/eng/wor...sessment.shtml

What's a bunac visa?

A years open work permit for those aged 30 and under. A quick Google search would bring up the website - http://www.bunac.org/uk/workcanada/
Alternatively, the Wiki has details.
