Hello, friends,

I took my medical 14 months ago. Now it is expired I suppose. I sent letter to
Baffulo office, always got one letter indicating that

"your application involves consultation with other visa offices, government
departments or agencies. We will reply as soon as these consultations havbe been
completed. We regret being unable to provide a specific time frame, but will reply as
soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and cooperation."

I heard that is due to background check. I do not know if the information about the
pass employer unclear would due to this? I do not know if my pass employer would
response to any request.

Who knows if there is maximum time frame, let say 30 month, to wait? Or how if I
withdraw my application? I do not want to wait for ever without any clear yes or
no answer.

Back ground enquiries are a function of where you have lived for the past 10 years
and your occupation as some other esoteric criteria.

Without knowing your background it is difficult to tell what the problem is.

Hi:

It appears that rather than receiving an outright refusal, your application has been
forwarded for further consideration. It may be a number of things. You may want to
fax another letter to the Buffalo CPC inquiring into the status of your file.

Hi,

Can you tell me what could be 'a number of things'? How deep will they investigate
the background? My background is not complex at all. But I may not provide enough
clue for them if they want to trace back. I could not image what kind of detail they
want when I submit my docs.

Do you have idea how long they will work on the case before they stop to a
conclusion?
