BC pnp
Hello again everyone time to pick your brains again. I have just had a email saying we have an invitation to apply through the skilled worker stream I know we are only at the early stage at the moment so just wanted to know if these are the next stages- submit my full application, if we receive nomination apply to ircc for permanent residency, why that's being processed I can apply for a letter from bc pnp for a work permit to get to Canada quicker. I think that's right thankyou everyone and sorry for more questions lol

Hi
Im looking at this way in I am in the healthcare side and have a job already - I have been told once I have a nomination then I can get a work permit at my port of entry. I wont need to wait to get residency sorted as this can take up to 12 months
I dont know if that would change if I didnt have a job lined up though!

The process is detailed on BC's PNP (skilled worker stream) web pages
https://www.welcomebc.ca/Immigrate-t...ration/Process and for more information: https://www.welcomebc.ca/Immigrate-t...ls-Immigration
If you meant the BC PNP Express Entry route, then these links will apply: https://www.welcomebc.ca/Immigrate-t...ry-B-C-Process and for more information: https://www.welcomebc.ca/Immigrate-t...ress-Entry-B-C
(Health care applicants can be found under the 2nd link of both streams)

I'm going as skilled immigrant, all it states is that we can get a letter from BC PNP to apply for a work permit. Which will take another 5-7 weeks nothing about port of entry?

Re: BC pnp
You don't have to apply at the POE you can apply to extend / change conditions (online) if you already have valid status as a worker.

Re: BC pnp
The quickest way would be a plane as opposed to a boat. With the BC PNP nomination letter you can apply at the POE and pay the relevant fees. Just make sure you have all of your documentation that is required.

Have you looked at the criteria under which BCPNP will issue a work permit support letter? You need to check this to see if you meet the requirements.

Hi
We received our BC pnp nomination in July ,we are applying for a work permit at POE in Oct,we had a letter from BC pnp saying we could apply for a work permit and also got the employer to apply for this to prove we do not require an LMIA
Provincial/territorial agreements – Work in Canada
Hope all goes well for you
