Barrie's No Place To Live!
Are you looking for a new place to settle? Whether it be your misses and
you, or your family too. May I suggest one thing for sure, don't make your
home in Barrie, Ontario!
Just a short drive north of Toronto, this 45 minute drive is like heading
into the back country. If you were not from here originally, the local folk
will do their damnest to keep you from being employed locally, reaping
benefits from their region, and have a distinguishing cut throat practice at
taking your place in line for themselves. I urge you to stay away.
Make no mistake, this is not the place for your family or you. If you are
have a linguistic difference, are from a foreign country, or are a minority,
French, Spanish, native American, or otherwise, you will learn that Barrie
is the nightmare of your life, if you reside here.
There is no work, those that have jobs, won't give you the time of day, and
won't take you resume for five minutes, when you turn your head, they will
throw it out. This is for sure the hell that you may afford to move to, but
won't be able to afford to leave. The extremely high cost of living, the
grouse indecencies that take place here, the failing economy, and the
overall attitude, amongst many other things, is just the icing on the cake.

meet", Yes I was warned before I moved from south eastern Ontario, and now I
live to regret. Don't make the same mistake fellow Canadians, just plan to
live somewhere else. If the costs don't discourage you, the neighbours and

Somebody's obviously upset you in Barrie!
I've had a totally different experience of Barrie, I have visited my
sister-in-law twice, she and her husband live in Barrie.
We have applied for PR from the UK and will be heading to settle in Barrie
first of all. I also have a job offer in Barrie. We found the people to be
very friendly, we loved lake Simcoe and Georgian Bay, and feel it will be a
great place for our kids, lots of parks etc.
I'm sorry to hear you have such a negative view of Barrie, could you
elaborate?
