Default Approved job, now what?

Hi there Mr Dazed here,

This is a dilemma, a happy one, but a dilemma nevertheless.

I have today received HRDC approval for my job but our dilemma is:

I still haven't received my AOR yet, but I would like to send my approval letter, but without a file number how do I make sure it gets attached to my application.

Do we wait for our file number (could be another 5 weeks or more) or send it now and take the chance?

We are thinking that, 5 weeks or more will make no difference, as it will now be processed quicker, I am led to believe, with a job offer. (Is this True?)

It is best to wait until you know the file number at the visa office.

Can a job offer letter that is not for a skill classed as O/A/B be used to "help" a Federal app? I know it can't therefore be HRDC certified, as it's not Skill O/A/B but is there any point in submitting it as some kind of evidence? It would help a Provincial app, I know, as this job is on a skills list to my intended final destination, but I already sent a Federal app and don't want to have to withdraw it as I would lose the fees, right? So, can I explain that to CIC or just wait till I get another offer or PR comes thru anyway?

Well done getting the HRDC approval.

I take it that your prospective employer in Canada completed all that side of things for you.

Could I just ask you how long that process has taken?

I'm waiting for an employer to do the same and was wondering whether to send in my visa application before we get the approval letter or sit and wait.
