Default applying for more than one visa?

Hi folks,

We have recently applied for our common-law sponsorship, however, for the time being I was wondering if I could also apply for a student visa as I have been accepted into the university here. I'm just wondering if this is allowed or if I apply for a different visa at the same time, will it negate our first application?

Obviously I don't want anything to get in the way of our sponsorship application!

Thanks,
James

You can apply for study permit. But don't forget you will have to apply out of Canada or at border point if you are eligible.

I applied for my PR (family class) but I had to apply for an intra-company visa, because I didn't get my PR on time.
