APplying for Canada PR while on US H1B
Guys,
I applied in Feb 2006..My H1 Expires Dec 2006. Canada/Buffalo ppl came back saying H1 should be valid for at least 1 year.
Now when I get my H extension and reapply - can I use the same Police clearance from Indian Embassy and FBI that was sent in Feb 2006?
ANy clues?

Can you not ask your employer to apply for a new H1B visa earlier "to stretch" your eligibility for applying PR in Canada??
I did to one of my subcontractors with the reason of changing job duties and responsibilities (the same issue: applying for PR in Canada).
Off course I didn't tell him I would be moving to Canada too.

My EMployer is applying for extension now...withing 6 months of expiry.
SO, I was wondering if I could just send back the same application packet that was returned to me (in which they asked for I-797 latest - Canada PR Requirements do not ask for I-797 only VISA on passport which for me has been stamped till Dec 2007 for unknown reasons by State Deptt.) with the new I-797, once I get it approved.OR do I have to get FBI clearance (in US) and Indian Police Certificate again.
