AORs October 2010 on (List of 38)
Couldn't find one, but forgive me if someone has already started a similar thread - I've been away...
If, like us, you're in the "Class of 38" but have been asleep a while, pending a potential two year wait... perhaps we should have a thread to club together all those still waiting to go into process in this timeline. We're AOR June 2011 (was there anyone after June?), but I think the last relevant thread is for those with AOR to Sept 2010.
So, if anyone with AOR October 2010 onwards has gone into process please could you post your update.

Hi
We are AOR end of Feb 2011, it says we are in process but when you click on the word 'In process' it says pending review so I don't think anyone is looking at our file as yet??
We will be 8 months from AOR next week - our AOR states that we can contact them if we have heard nothing -which we have not
I know the process times have been extended to 20 months from AOR but I was thinking of getting new police certificates, as its been over a year and they would of expired by now, in the hope that someone will dust off my file to add them in...
Then I will send them an email so they can acknowledge the new police certificates and see what they have to say - fingers crossed I don't get the same generic email everyone seems to get, but hey we shall wait and see.
I'll keep you all posted.
But to be honest I am really watching those with August 2010 AORs to see when they start getting medicals as that will give me some hope that things are moving.
Good luck everyone
xx

Hi!
Thanks for replying!
I was watching the August 2010s, but we are so far away from them timewise that for us, it's probably better to watch those closer - like yourself. Once you get meds, then we're hopefully only 4 months behind...
Trying just to get on with life, we moved to the country and shifted our target date on 2 years. Spending the time getting in some practice with "rural living".

I'm moving jobs & a few hundred miles so perhaps I will go in process when I update my address.
I am thinking maybe another 12 months before hearing.

We were hoping to be over there by mid summer 2012 at the latest, but looking less likely now... So wish we were given a realistic timeframe - just a little communication would be nice... Will try the whole contacting to update job, etc. once our 8 months is up from the AOR letter too...
I think Jan/Feb is gonna be a bit hard though - that is when I may lose the plot as it will be a year from 2nd AOR ...

I'm afew weeks behind you, but not in process. I am a little suspicious that it is only those who have contracted them who have gone in process, given the lask of processing since!

We've moved twice now and updated records, but no movement or correspondence for us, but no real surprise as only been 4 months since AOR.

We are (2nd) AOR July 2011. Glad you are still positive Kaye - I found it really hard recently, but getting back in the swing again now. I have started applying for a few jobs here and there (the more specialised kind!) with the very faint chance that someone somewhere might be so overwhelmed by my resume, and so desperate that they go through the whole advertising/LMO/Work permit route for us!

Hi Kaye,
we're similar timelines to you. We've pretty much put Canada on the back burner for now. If it happens, it happens. Just carrying on with life here. My main concern though is when we applied, it was supposedly a 10 month application which is the main reason we applied. I didn't want my eldest child (now 11) moving whilst in the middle of high school which obviously is now going to be the case.
Oh well, we can always decide again, if and when the miracle occurs.

We too are on a similar timeframe and applied on the basis that the 10 month processing timeline fitted in with my oh completing his career in the army, and then moving over to Canada. This is obviously now not going to happen and we, like you guys are left wondering if it will ever happen. We now have to make temporary plans as to what we do when he leaves the army - do we move from here - where we aren't happy, but our kiddies are, or do we stay here and wait it out?? To be honest, we're now even thinking of looking at oz, as we could have just as nice a life over there and at least they are more on the ball with their immigration. Will probably make a call on that in the new year. You read about places like NS desparately needing new blood, but I wonder how many people end up not moving due to the length of time is taking. Will follow this thread closely.

But can't live life on hold for that long - we had sold our house, but have bought another. We found it too stressful renting. If we never make it to Canada at least we've found somewhere pretty nice in the UK.

My status is 'In Process' since my AOR came in Mar-11; but further details reveal the same 'Pending Review'. Would be helpful in any way to write to London visa office after the 8 months have elapsed?

Good luck everyone
xx

You may have seen me post this in another thread as others have also - London have now changed the processing time from 20 to 27 months
