Anyone spouse sponsored?
Has any UK passport holder been through the process of moving to Canada by being sponsored by their Canadian husband/wife?
Do you know how long the process typically takes. Also in order to enter Canada with all your papers (to become resident), if you are holiday in Canada at the time, do you have to come back to the UK to enter Canada, or can you nip across the US border to do this?

Hi, and welcome to the forum.
It would be really helpful if you'd read the 'Newcomers to the Forum' sticky thread (on main forum page).
There are lots of others who have been, or are in the process of being, sponsored for PR by their Canadian spouses, and you'll find many threads on the subject including a timeline thread just for this visa route in this section of the forum.
Timewise, if you do an outland application it's likely to be around 2-5 months, and for an inland application it'll be a year or more - three guesses which one most people go for!
Once you've got your visa, you can just 'flagpole' to activate your PR, info on this (and lots more besides) is in the Wiki which the Newcomers thread will direct you to.
HTH, good luck.
Edit: have seen you've now found and been reading the Wiki which is good, hopefully that will have answered your questions but if not shout with them and somebody going through the same process will be able to help.

Chobert - could you have landed any time after 12.08.10 (less than three months is pretty impressive!)?
I guess once you have your Visa you are good to go?
