Default Anyone with Landing Experience at Toronto Airport

Hi All,

We are planning to land at the Toronto Airport, anyone who has completed the landing process over there. Would appreciate if you can share your experiences.

We were landed on our Study Permits in Toronto Airport. We brought our dogs and cat with us on our flight and the pony was following on another flight. The landing was perfect and all the Immigration Officers were lovely and the customs guys were superb. They stamped our List of Goods to Follow and off we went. It was quick and no hassle at all.

When we Landed as PR's a couple of weeks ago we did it at 1,000 Islands and it was smooth and pleasant too.

We landed 3 months ago without any problem.
Have a list of goods to follow with their values.
Also, have your funds ready if they ask you.
Good luck.

Our experience: Mr B, landing as PR, went in via the new terminal where they bus you over to the other bit - landing, fine, bit of a long wait. Customs, very long wait, went through everything closely, made us rewrite some bits, hadn't ever had anyone present a B4 before and didn't know what to do with it.

Me, returning resident, goods to follow list: landed at the old terminal, didn't read it, rubber stamped every page without looking. Total customs time= 3.5secs.

Thanks for the reply, just wanted to know did you fill the B4 form, or just a printed list. Also how did you calculate the Dollar value of the items.

Did you also have a list of goods that you took along, do they stamp that also, otherwise if you bring those items out of Canada and then again bring it back so how do they know that it was imported during your landing.

Also if you can specify from where did you land, and if you landed from USA did you take out the I-94 from your passport.

Thanks.

When we were landed as Settlers back in December we flew in from the UK, but when we Landed as Permanent Residents 2 weeks ago we went into USA and bought I-94 visas and then returned to Canada and asked them to leave them in our passports. The second time of landing the guy didn't ask to see any documents at all as they obviously had a record of the previous one and just processed us within a matter of minutes.
