Guys,
Can any one tell us if they have experienced or know any changes in processing and
interview after the NYC terror?
I am about to attend an interview and I wonder if everything still as usual?
Thanks in advance.

I sure hope so... maybe we finally can get some reforms to our immigration laws to
keep the terrorists out.

Yes.
Immigration was on occasional strikes, as were all PSAC union members, at the time of
the terrible tragedy. The strike has been suspended indefinitely while immigration
workers go back to work and fully staff offices, especially at ports of entry.
Immigration has also requested that customs officers increase their referrals of
persons to immigration, in particular, in cases where persons present only one
piece of ID.
In some instances, Canadians can expect to be referred to immigration for
verification of their documents.
Immigration examinations at the ports of entry can be expected to take longer while
officers carefully review all details of visitors travel to Canada and their travel
history. This increased level of examination has already resulted in at least one
case reported by the news media where a person has been taken into custody and
questioned by Immigration, RCMP and CSIS concerning their possible link to the Sept.
11th attacks.
As well, customs officers are also on higher alert. Travellers can expect increased
examinations by customs as well.
