Hi

My file got transfered to Detroit for interview in November 2001 and still waiting
for an interview call.

My questions are

1. I will be considered under new or old rule system?
2. What is "Selection Decision"?Is it over in my case?
3. If I am in the new rule system , is it recomended to visit Canada to get
that 5 points?

1. If selection decision will be made before the end of 2002 then you'll be assessed
under old selection criteria. If such decision will be made after January 1, 2003
then you'll be assessed against new selection grid.

2. Selection decision (positive or negative) is made when processing officer finishes
assessing your application against selection criteria. If such is positive then
only determining admissibility factors (medical, criminal, security) is left in
the process. In your case no selection decision has been made yet as you still
must undergo selection interview.

3. Application will be assessed as of the day of submission, so visiting Canada now
will not give you any extra points.
