Andrew .. Help ????
Hi Experts:
I got my assessment today with interview waiver from Buffalo. I also got
Medical forms with a request of some additional documents which are as
follow:
1. Certified True copies of letters of reference detailing present
experience (upto date)
My Background: I am in canada on work visa (valid until 2004). But after
I got the visa and came to Canada, the company decided not to keep me
because of their retarding business. I have been here just staying in
Toronto for the past 5 months and looking for another job and employer to
sponsor me. First of all, Am I staying illegal in Canada ? Now what should I
tell immigration about my current employer. Should I tell them about my
situation ? Will it have any negative effect on my application. Experts tell
me What should I tell them ???
2. Updated Bank statements.
Which is not a problem.
Is this really an interview waiver. Or just a request of some additional
information.
Also the letters says that "Please do not complete your medicals until 6
months from the date of this letter". Is this common to every assessment or
just a instruction for my case only.
Also I have told the Buffalo office about my change of address both by fax
and courier, but still I am getting my assessment at old address. What
should I do now ? I have lost trust in them. How could they send me the
assessement at my old address.
Thanks for all your help.
Regards,
Badshah

1. if your wp/ea is valid till april 04, then you are not out of status, provided you are not working for someone else.. if you get another job, you will need to get another wp.. as for the documents requested, then get the same from your ex employer detailing as required, and also explain that you have been laid off and are currently unemployed...
2. looks like your interview has been waived for now, but you may still be called in for an interview at a later date if a visa officer deem's it necessary... as for the medicals, more and more people who have been interview waived are being asked not to do the medicals for 6 months in order for the visa office to have the time do do all the other checks that are required, so that the validity of the medicals does not expire before the process is concluded...
3. remind them again about your change of address... its possible that the system has not been updated with the earlier change of information you sent them... such changes take about 3 months to flow through...
