Be presentable. Make sure you answer honestly. The questions will verify your
personal information and your knowledge of your chosen occupation. There could
be question as why you chose to apply in the great USA rather than in India.

Other types of question could be asked but only the interviewer will know for
sure.

I guess NorthernLights already answered reasonably. His reply matches
my experience... 3 yrs back.
Interview is NOT a test of knowledge, but about judging your
truthfulness, and adaptability to Canada, and may be about
clarification/further detail on some info that you provided in your
application.
In case you wonder what 'adaptability' may imply...; as I understand
it is mainly about ability to live a normal life in Canada... without
communication/social problems, or being burden on Canadian tax
payers... in any way.

Actually in some interviews they do test knowledge to determine if you have
the skills you claim.

speak for yourself!
US Unemployment Insurance pays more than a monthly salary of an Engineer in
Canada.

This is coming from a proven liar. You give no stats. Nothing relevant to
compare. You are nothing but a troll.

Hi Sansan,

Dress code is important, a blazer/coat would help. Be confident while
answering and answer to the point. Do not go beyond on answers to
questions (you might get entangled in your own responses). Be
truthful. If you have experience in more than one field (say marketing
and as well as IT), announce it to the officer (better adaptibility).
Put all documents in an order and hand over them to the immigration
officer as and when asked without fumbling or searching for the
documents. Some of the questions yu might face are -
1. Why migrating from your present country?
2. Why migrating to Canada?
3. Your job role in your present / past companies?
4. What steps initiated to settle in Canada?
5. Any friends / relatives in Canada?
6. If French claimed to be known - be prepared to answer questions in
French too.
7. How do you see yourself 5 years from now in your present
occupation?
8. If the job market for the occupation you have qualified for is bad,
then what do you think you would do?

Hope this helps.

Frazer
