After May 01, 2003. Experts please extend your helping hands.
As per the rules directed by the CIC on its website all applicants
including the Business class have to submit their applications to the
Canadian Visa Office responsible for:
1) Applicants Country of nationality
2) The country, in which the applicant is residing, provided he/she
has been lawfully admitted in that country at least for a year.
Mr. Miller had posted this information on the very first day of May
2003
You are aware that nine business centers were classified before this
clause. So the question arise is what will happen to those business
applicants whose files are already in process since 1999 and decision
was not made till this date.
Will the Visa offices say Singapore or Paris will transfer all such
files to London for those who applied from Middle East? (London is
responsible for applicants from Gulf and large number of them from
South Asia)
Would Mr. Miller or some other expert please kindly shed some light on
this matter?

There will be no mandatory transfer of already pending cases, but all visa
posts have the authority to transfer pending file to visa post responsible
for applicant's country of nationality or legal residence if the integrity
of the process requires and/or justifies such transfer.
