Dear Mr Miller,

I had applied to CHC London from Kuwait in August 2001. On 10 April 03
I received a letter asking me to resubmit my application using the new
forms with additional information including IELTS scores by 1 June.
Since the British Council in Kuwait which offers the IELTS was closed
from Feb 24 due to the Iraq crisis,I sent a letter to CHC London
requesting that the last date for submission be extended upto 30 Sep
03. Yesterday (21 May) I received the same letter back from CHC London
with a handwritten note on the side stating that the extension was
granted and I may submit test scores by 30 Sep 03.

In the meantime, as per your suggestion, I arranged to take the IELTS
in India on 17 May. I expect the results to come in by June 2. My
question to you now is should I send my application minus the IELTS
scores before 1 June or should I delay till the first week of June and
send in my package including the IELTS scores. The delay would be a
maximum of 1 week but the package would be fully complete.

Extension was granted for the entire request or just for IELTS results? It
would be safer to submit all except IELTS now and then follow with IELTS as
soon as you have it. Unless note clearly states that you can submit all
requested documents by September.

Dear Mr Miller,

Thank you for your response. The note does not mention other
documents. Is it not worth delaying by a few days and submitting the
entire package and explaining upfront in the covering letter rather
than to send two letters within a span of 1 week? In any case without
the IELTS results they probably would not process my application.
Moreover, I think CHC London should consider that fact that I have not
spared any effort (or expense) to meet their deadline. Of course I can
only blame Saddam Hussein for my circumstances.
