The Canadian embassy would like applicants like myself to provide additional information to prove that the relationship is genuine and continuing such as pictures, phone bills, letters and the like..

my question is: Do they give back these documents after processing? I do not mind giving our pictures away because i have digital copies of these but i am just concerned about our letters to each other, movie tickets, plane tickets or just any special event ticket.. I just feel like these are very important memories wherein one would want to keep the original tickets issued. Are they going to give this all back?

I actually sent an email asking for documents back, as we had a computer crash and lost all pics, except the ones they had...they were very good about it and had it sent back recorded within a week of my orginal email...

I think it depends on the office whether they return things or not, we never had anything back from London, but we sent copies of photos and photocopies of other documents, so we weren't that worried about losing them.

We had everything returned.

Depends who you get. Some people get their stuff sent back (we did), others do not...all from the same office (eg, London).
