Hi, All:
Your help is really appreciated.
I had a visitor visa (V-1) to Canada. It says that the visa starts on Feb 22 and expires
at May 23. What does it mean? It means that I must enter into Canada within this period of
time? How long can I stay at Canada if I enter into Canada with this visa?
If I give up entering into Canada this time, would it impact on my future visitor visa
application?

Yes, you may enter Canada only before the expiration of visa. The length of time you will
be allowed to stay will be determined by the immigration officer granting you admission at
the Canadian port of entry. Usually you may stay up to 6 months, unless otherwise
restricted by admitting officer.
If you will not use your visa now it will have no impact on your future applications.

No, you can't. If you are unable to enter Canada before visa expiration you will have to
apply for new one.

You must enter Canada between February 22nd and May 23rd, inclusive. An immigration
official at the port of entry would determine the allowed duration of the stay.

The times the Candians Goverment has given you means you have to leave on that date. Best
idea is to go to the USA for a few days and then go back to Canada. No you will not have a
problem in the future if you don't go to Canada this time.
